There are nights I feel like this, but not many. :) Luckily I found me a man trained well by his mom!!!
Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, "I'm tired, and it’s getting late. I think I'll go to bed."
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning. She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.
She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.
Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.
Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."
"I'm on my way," she said.
She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.
She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.
In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.
About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."
And he did...without another thought.
Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?
CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL..... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)

I got this great YouTube video by e-mail today from one of my friends. I laughed so hard because it's all true!!! It got yanked because it was copyrighted material~ but it was a woman singing words that moms say all day ("because I said so," etc.), and condensing it to about 3 minutes. The music was the William Tell Overture (aka the "Lone Ranger" song).
It reminded me of another one I saw a few months ago, so I had to check it out again. I laughed so hard that I cried!!! Mom My Ride
It's been a slow but busy week for me, but I STILL SCRAPPED bwah ha ha ha! Here are a couple for Michelle using her Hope, Fruit of the Spirit kit:
This kit inspires quiet contemplation~ the colors and textures are very soothing and easy to work with. :D

This one's for you Emma! I'm so bummed she didn't make it to be the next (big booming voice) Digitals Design Star. Paper, arrows (recolored) and "Laugh" by Emma Moore; frames by Seebee, Stars by Carla (MeuScraps Designs).
Last of Electric Diva LO's (who knows, maybe I'll bring it back again, bwah ha ha ha). Soo fun to recolor B&W's!
What's the name of a guy with no arms and legs hanging on the wall?
For Seebee, using her Mess of Frames. They look so great layered! Also used paper and ribbon from her Date of Birth kit. Key ring by Lemonaid Lucy and flower by Newlife.
And for Michelle, with Electric Diva and Magazine Covers:
I thought I'd clone stamped that light switch out of existence, but not on this copy of the picture I guess. ROFLOL!

Today I got the CK newsletter, which I don't always open but did today, for lack of better e-mail. They now have a "Random Challenge Generator" on the website here. I checked the boxes for number of photos, journaling style, 3 embellishments, and scraplift. I got this:
Your challenge is to create a layout using:
Number of photos: four
Something stapled down
Journaling style: columns
Sketch/Layout to scraplift: sketch7 (it shows the sketch)
Pretty funky eh? I may have to go back there to try it!
Now a couple of LO's I did last week for Michelle:
I had a ton of fun recoloring the picture to match the color in Michelle's Electric Diva kit. It's neon and black grunge~ think punk and 80's. So fun!
Here's one with DD, again with Electric Diva~ but I slid the paper and elements right into Michelle's Magazine Cover templates! So easy and quick, and fun to look at. Who doesn't want to be on the cover of a magazine?

My brother Jon just returned form several months in Iraq. I know there are things he did that he'll never tell me about, but that's ok. I'm an AF wife, so I understand that. ;) Anyway, here he is!
Sadly, single gals, he's taken. :D That's his girlfriend and my mom below.
I was fortunate that I got to chat with him several times via IM. Shortly before he left the desert, he told me about his girlfriend, who's strong, independent and fun. He told me she reminds him of ME! WOW I was surprised! He said he's always looked up to me and I'm kind of a hero (I'm 6 years older than him). WOW. I almost cried! This big, tough, knows-15-ways-to-kill-someone-with-his-bare-hands Marine looks up to me.
That's really something, because I'm a full foot shorter than he is, if not more. Don't let the big, bad Marine stereotype fool ya~ they're all teddy bears inside. :D

From my DH, who thinks all I do on here is talk about him and what he isn't getting. LOL! You have to read it aloud, pronouncing each capital letter. ;)
LIB! MR ducks!

Here I am not updating like I should! Now I'm ROFLMBO at myself. Been hard at work doing actual HOUSEWORK! It's amazing, really. Between last night ans this morning, I rattled off 4 LO's which I'll post later, but now I have to get these others out. ;)
This on features Seebee's new Opulence Kit. It's pure opulence all right! Gorgeous, rich purples and blues, with a touch of rustic in the wrought iron embellies. This page sums up my experience at the 2006 Close to My Heart convention. Opulent!
I've had these pix for almost 2 years, sitting around waiting for this kit! It's one of Michelle Pieters' newest, called Summer's Sunset. Gorgeous, earthy fall tones!
I was scratchin' my head wondering what other pix I could pair with Summer's Sunset when I came upon these in an older folder, and the idea for this LO popped into my head! In the pic with 3 boys~ only the character in the middle is mine. The other 2 are rambunctious nephews. :)

The first illness of the school year has struck my home. *SIGH* I wonder how long it'll take to get thru this one, and to what symptoms I have to look forward. DD and DS2 are running fevers. I really hope that's it.
On the bright side, I found a fun widget on Joy Kuoha's blog~ again. She seems to have as much fun stuff as freebies! You have to scroll down to the bottom to see it~ I couldn't get it to work in a regular post.
I did create 1 LO so far this week. Slow again!
It's for Emma, who's trying to become the Next Digitals Design Star over at Digitalscrapbookpages.com, aka Digitals. I made this using her kit, Grunge Delight. I used one of ScrapGirls' torn paper templates, but she has her own in the kit.
Background~ My dad passed away when I was 9, and I'm the oldest child, so I remember the most about him. My mom finally gave me some pictures of him so I can see what he was like even before I was born! This way I can fuse what I know with what I didn't know so my children can get to know him. Make sense? I didn't think so, LOL!

I was able to finish 2 more this week! I have so many projects "due" this month, LOL! Paper, fabric and digi-type. :) So with that off my chest, I'll post these and get back to my paper project. I was feeling wedding-ly I guess!
For this I used a different shade of Michelle's Misty Rose paper. Love it!
This one's for you Chris! I used all Seebee's products here~ Flowerpress paper that I can't get enough of and swirls from her It's a Swirl World collection of swirls in .png and brushes.

So far I've only finished 2 LO's~ I just have so many other things to do! Maybe I'll actually get something accomplished tomorrow while Hannah's at preschool. Usually I run around on errands that aren't of my choosing.
This one's for Emma! Her store at Scrapstreet is finally fixed! This LO uses her Citrus Surprise, and for once I didn't alter anything (ok like 3 things, but no recoloring).
Michelle gave me Misty Rose yesterday, and I love it! Ever since I saw it a few weeks ago, I've wanted to play with the beautiful pinks and beads in it. I'm awfully glad I get to work with her and play with her lovely kits!

YAY! I am so easily pleased, I guess, but I have my "hugs" back on my blog! It's to the right, below my picture, on the sidebar. Feel free to give me lots!!!!! Some days I just need 'em.

I made 6 digi layouts this week! No wonder I don't want to look at my computer! Seriously, I enjoy working with "my" 3 designers and their awesome work!
This is Beautiful Girl! The story behind this one is I couldn't get the pic on the far right to come out clear. I decided I liked the look, so I grunged up the other 2 to look similar. Add some of Seebee's paper and ribbon and Voila! Beautiful LO. At least I think so. :)
Michelle asked all of her CT to create a LO all about them, so here it is! I think the paper looks great with my photo! And I love the elements that came with the kit, Teenage Memories.
If this is our future, the fashion houses should beware, LOL!
